Throughout the winter months I always mak...Hi Judy! Throughout the winter months I always make porridge for breakfast and alternate between rolled oats and steel cut. I think it depends on the mood I am in... I always measure out the oats the night before, though, (whatever sort we use - Scotts Porage Rolled Oats or McCanns Steel Cut) and saok it it half milk, half water over night. I will chop a banana in it for the last couple of minutes of cooking and a handful of frozen berries maybe a minute before I'm ready to dish up. That way they keep their shape beautifully! A drizzle of agave nectar or honey finishes it off.
